our approach to training

We believe that all the elements within a training program should focus on the objectives – what do we want the participants to do, think or feel as a result.

Our principles

This degree of focus allows us to decide which techniques to incorporate, and in which order.  And it is underpinned by our commitment to the following four principles:

1. Create the environment to succeed

Create an environment where participants dare to make mistakes - and to learn from them. An environment where they can expect, and get, support from colleagues and not fear ridicule.

2. Help participants learn by doing

As adults, we learn best by doing, so we create scenarios relevant to real life, and give feedback in the workshop environment. We are low on lecture and high on experiential learning.

3. Lead by example

We ‘walk the talk’. This is primarily because prior to training/facilitating each of us worked within a highly competitive commercial environment that demanded the highest level of commercial, interpersonal and business skills.

4. Adapt and apply

We have the ability to adapt and synthesize materials and make them work in different environments to suit different cultures.

Our techniques include:

  • Role Plays
  • Real life video playback
  • Personal and group critique
  • Improv theatre
  • Individual / group assessment 360 TLC
  • Group discussion
  • One on one training
  • Games
  • Facilitation
  • Lecture
